Allana College of Pharmacy was established by M.C.E.  Society from a donation given by Late Mr. Abdul Razzak Allana and Late Mr. Hussain Allana in 1996 in order to promote excellent standards of education to economically, educationally and socially weaker section of society. The institute aims to produce outstanding pharmacy professionals with knowledge, skills, and commitment to service while abiding to high ethical and moral standards that will be proud of profession and be the pride of profession. Description of College

The Allana College of Pharmacy was established in the year 1996 by the M.C.E. Society from a donation given by Late Mr. Abdul Razzak Allana and Late Mr. Hussain Allana. The College is approved by the All India Council for TechnicalEducation (AICTE) New Delhi, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) New Delhi, Government of Maharashtra and is affiliated to the University of Pune.

The college imparts education leading to four years Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharmacy) and two years Master Degree (M. Pharmacy) in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacognosy branches. The College is a center of excellence by providing world class pharmaceutical education to students from all sections of society.

The College is to impart value-added education with efficient and competent man power, optimum infrastructure and appropriate interaction with industries. The Institute will generate globally competitive pharmacist as skilled technocrats, researchers and health care profession. The Institute develops all round meritorious professional to meet the needs of global challenges.

Eligibility criteria

(Allana College of Pharmacy Direct Admission)

B Pharma: Students applying for Bachelor of Pharmacy should have 50% in 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics or physics, chemistry and biology. Students having Diploma in Pharmacy can also opt for this course.

M Pharma: The minimum eligibility for Master of pharmacy the course is a recommended minimum score of 50% in Bachelor of pharmacy from any recognized university or equivalent.

The college has participated and won several inter collegiate literal, Cultural and Sports competitions. To mention few:

·        State Level Anuradha Cup Badminton Trophy at Chikhli, 1998.

·        1st runners up trophies in 2001, 2002 & 2006 in State Level Pharmacy quiz Competitions at Sarasvati Vidya Bhavan College of Pharmacy, Dombivali.

·        General Championship Trophies at the Maharashtra State Level Cultural and Literal meet “Pharma Utsav 1998 & Pharma Utsav 2005" held at Government College of Pharmacy, Karad.

·        The College has always excelled during the Pharmacy Cup Cricket Tournament organized every year and has won many prizes.

·        Runner up trophy in Maharashtra State Level 'Zing 2006" cricket competition held at Y. B. Chawan College of Pharmacy, Aurangabad in Dec. 2006.

·        Mr. Atif Sayyed bagged winner's trophy at National Elocution Competition organized by Indian Pharmaceutical Association in Dec. 2005 held at Hyderabad.

·        Allana College of Pharmacy team was selected amongst the 1st five models from Maharashtra for Inter University State level competition Avishkar -2009

·        Best poster award in International Conference on Drug delivery 2010, P.S.G. College of Pharmacy Coimbatore.

Campus Facility

Allana College of Pharmacy boasts of excellent infrastructure and facilities for its students. It has 20 laboratories with sophisticated equipment such as UV Spectrometer, Rota Evaporator, install coat, rheometer, stability chamber, ultra turn tax, cooling centrifuge, Brookfield viscometer, and many others. The internet room at the Institute has printer and scanner facilities for its students’ use. The computer labs have high-speed internet available 24x7.

The classrooms are well furnished to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning. They are equipped with OHP facility. The library is stocked with over 8000 titles and 13000 volumes. It subscribes to various international journals too and also offers a special facility library for parents at a nominal fee. The library has qualified library staff according to AICTE and PCI norms, and a separate reading room is available for boys and girls with a capacity of 170 each.

Numerous jobs are available for pharmacists in government as well as private organizations. After completing your studies, you can easily find jobs in pharmaceutical industries, government departments, colleges and universities, hospitals, investigation and research institute etc. and One can also work in retail stores of medicines. After registering with the state Pharmacy Council, you can open chemist/drug shop and sell medicines as per doctor’s prescription.

• B Pharma:

·        For admission to the Pharmacy courses, the student must have passed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics/Biology.

·        Students have to secure a min of 50% marks in the qualifying examination.

·        Students, those pass the 3-year (D Pharm) are also eligible.

• M Pharma:

·        The admission process may vary from institute to institute.

·        Most of the colleges or Institutions intake students on the basis of marks scored in GPAT.

·        After that, they have to undergo vigorous counselling and personal interview.

·        Some of the colleges select students on the basis of merit i.e, the marks obtained in one’s bachelor’s degree in the same field.

·        Colleges also conduct their private entrance exams for the admissions.

• D Pharma:

·        Most institutes offer this course according to performance in the related entrance exam, often followed by a round of personal interview, wherein their general aptitude for the course is tested. D Pharma. Admission Process generally varies across colleges.

·        A few institutes also provide direct admission based on the candidate’s performance at the 10+2 level.
