SREE
SIDDAGANGA COLLEGE OF PHARMACY is a very popular college in the state of
Karnataka. SREE SIDDAGANGA COLLEGE OF PHARMACY was established in 1994. It is

you can pursue various courses after completing your 12th. Depending upon your
choice and aspirants you can choose from Diploma, Degree and Doctoral
programmes. Starting with Diploma in Pharmacy, which is a three-year course and
students who have completed 12th with Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, and
Biology/Mathematics) are eligible to pursue this course. After that, you can
also opt for B. Pharm and B. Pharm (Ayurveda) which is a four-year course.
Again students who have passed the 12th Science stream are eligible to pursue
the above-mentioned courses.
You
can also choose Pharm D (Doctor of Pharmacy) which is a Doctoral level course.
But students who have passed 12th Science stream with subjects Physics,
Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics are eligible to pursue the Pharm D course. D.
Pharm program is a six years course.

What careers are available in
pharmacy?

pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants all have specialized roles in
pharmacy. Pharmacists require a university degree and practical training
whereas pharmacy technicians and assistants can either train on the job and
earn while gaining their qualifications, or gain a qualification through full
time study in a variety of settings.
Pharmacists
must be registered with the Pharmacy Council and hold an annual practicing
certificate. Pharmacy technicians
dispense medicines and work under the supervision of a pharmacist and pharmacy
assistants do not work in the dispensary.
These two occupations are not regulated.

can get the prospectus and application form from the college officer on payment
of Rs.300 in cash or application form can also be obtained through post by
paying the application fee of Rs.350 in the form of DD drawn in favor of ‘the
principal, Sree Siddaganga College of Pharmacy, B.H. Road, Tumkur – 57212.
Completely
filled in application must be submitted to the office of the college before the
last date prescribed by the college. Once the applications are submitted by the
students, the college will send interview letters to selected students and they
will have to appear along with their parents/guardian on the date of interview
specified by the college for admission.
